When I click the either of the “UPLOAD” links at the top it goes to a page with others’ uploads, but nowhere to upload my own.
If you’re logged in: you can find the upload form in the sidebar.
If you’re not logged in, you’ll need to log in.
Maybe I need to move that form out of the sidebar and into the main body of the site?

not yet, but that’s something I’ve long wanted to figure out. Should just be easy enough to have a toggle on your account that sets that right?

So on random pages, when I try to comment I get a little red message “Nonce invalid”
Usually it’s just a pain, but now I find it vexing. The most recent example, I logged out, then logged back in, but my nonce is invalid (no YOUR nonce is invalid!).
Latest example is www.myconfinedspace.com/storminator/2025/07/25/toy-56/
I usually just chock it up to running Firefox with NoScript, Adblock Plus, and Ghostery. For today’s sample, I temporarily allowed all domains on NoScript, but that didn’t help. The reason that I use script blockers on the internet is the same reason that you wear a raincoat when you visit a house of ill-repute
the tl;dr is that the site uses a network of somewhat sorta independent sites that if you log in on www and go to img (or vice versa) then a nonce is set for the original site and is invalid for the subsequent sites. I should be able to fix it, but I gotta be honest, just hitting submit again lets it go through so I’ve had limited reason to go back and try to fix it.
also, I have limited time due to things I can’t discuss but will be talking about relatively soon.

However, I tried to submit just one more time to take note of the behavior, and on what I think was the 4th attempt, it successfully submitted.
You wouldn’t have the back end cobbled together with chewing gum and reused spider webs, no?
Also, I just discovered how it is not allowed to reply to a submission awaiting approval (On a related note, on the NATO page, the awaiting submission message got eaten by something, triggering me to perform the double submission….. How (if possible) does one delete an unintentional double submission?

there’s no queue anymore, when you post it goes right through. I wonder what you’re seeing?

I captured an “Awaiting for approval” with the help of MS snip in the wild, except this flavor of MCS doesn’t allow for an image upload.
Here is the link that allowed me to see my comment with the bright orange approval “https://img.myconfinedspace.com/2025/03/13/poor-guy-7/#comment-3906″…. and then F5ing the page, the pending comment disappeared (around 19:31 Us Eastern).
I’m not a QA guy, but I could have fun finding ways to break stuff.
Though mostly, I still think some of it is related to the fact I’m using Firefox (not chromium) with NoScript, AdBlock, and Ghostery. (I don’t like stepping out in the rain without a raincoat)

Also, it exposes the fact that I’m not really looking for pending comments anywhere because that’s not a thing I want to have, I want the comments to go up immediately since they’re all from logged in users.
